Fees & $BZL
$BZL is not launched yet. The contract address will be posted only on @Bezel_rwa.
Prong fee#
- Rate: 0.05% of pledged notional per 30 days.
- Payer: the protocol placing the prong. Holders pay no prong fee.
- Notional: the prong's claim multiplied by the asset's Chainlink price.
- Accrual: pro rata while the prong is active. It stops when the prong executes, is released or expires.
Example: a prong claiming 40 tokens of an asset priced at 100 USD has a notional of 4,000 USD. Its fee is 2 USD per 30 days.

Buyback & burn#
Half of every prong fee buys $BZL on the market. The purchased $BZL is burned and removed from supply.
Staking by protocols#
A protocol must stake $BZL before it can place prongs. The stake is a bond for correct execution.
Slashing#
If a prong executes without valid proof of its trigger, the placing protocol's stake is slashed. The holder is compensated from the slashed stake, up to the value seized. See Execution & proofs.
What $BZL is not#
$BZL does not give a claim on vault assets. It does not represent equity in any issuer. Nothing in these docs is a statement about its future value.
